You already know something that would help someone else

Every hour you have spent squinting at an ingredient list or ringing a manufacturer is an hour somebody newly diagnosed does not have to spend. This is how that knowledge gets shared.

Add a product you have checked

Food, skincare, cleaning products, medicines, supplements, pet food. Anything where you have actually looked at the label or asked the manufacturer.

This is the most important field. It tells everyone else how much weight to put on the entry.

Formulations change. Entries older than 12 months are automatically flagged for rechecking.

Which specific ingredient, where you found it on the pack, whether there is an alternative version.

Before you submit

First name and initial is fine. Leave blank to appear as "a community member".

Never published. Only used if a moderator needs to check something with you.

Submissions go straight to our moderator for approval. Nothing appears on the site until a person has read it. TODO: currently sends via your own email program. Set CONFIG.endpoint in public/forms.js to post directly instead.

How moderation works

Everything is reviewed by a volunteer moderator before it appears. We are not checking whether you are right, we are checking that the entry is clear about what was checked, how, and when, so that other people can judge it for themselves.

  1. You submit

    Your entry goes into a queue. Nothing is public yet.

  2. A moderator reviews it

    We are a small team, so this can take a week or two. They may email you to clarify something.

  3. It publishes with its provenance attached

    Your entry appears with the date, how it was checked, and your chosen name.

  4. It ages

    After 12 months it is automatically flagged as needing a recheck, so nobody relies on stale information.

What we will not publish. Entries presented as medical advice, claims that a product is "safe" for everyone, advice to stop prescribed medication, unverifiable claims about a business, or anything that identifies another person without their consent.
